Supporting you to kick-start your career in education

The Wider Growth programme aims to go above and beyond to provide our trainees with the experiences that will set them apart as candidates as they complete their training and move into their first role as qualified teachers. Sessions include:

• Career carousel: At this inspiring event, trainees have the opportunity to interview a broad range of staff from across the school, including the head teacher, members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). This exposure provides valuable insights into different career paths within the education sector and learning from the experiences of seasoned educators.

• What to expect on a school visit: During this session, trainees will gain an understanding of what to anticipate when visiting a prospective school for employment. Including specific enquiries to make and methods for identifying any warning signs.
• Developing interview skills: An opportunity for trainees to receive preparation and practice in interview skills in preparation for the next phase of their career.
