The structure of the school day is designed to:
- make the most effective use of lesson time, by enabling students to do the most of their work in the morning, when they are freshest.
- create the conditions for high quality tutoring, by setting aside time when all students can be profitably occupied while individuals or small groups are tutored.
- provide supervised study time for students.
- minimise dead time and student movement.
