Ofsted Report March 2022.pdf
Message from Imran Iqbal – Headteacher April 2022
I am delighted to announce that our recent Ofsted inspection at Holly Lodge has now been published, with the conclusion that our school continues to be a Good School. This is a reflection of the hard work, high standards, and resilience of our wonderful students and staff, and I am immensely proud of, and grateful to, both.
To continue to be a Good School is always an achievement. To do so in the context of the last few years, with a global pandemic and all the additional pressures that schools have been under, is remarkable. The report noted that the school has:
Leaders and governors have high ambitions for the school. They are determined to serve the local community the best way they can.
A pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Pupils and staff are proud of their school. Leaders promote tolerance and community cohesion and make the most of the multicultural intake of the school.
The school motto is ‘success for all’. Pupils study a wide range of subjects and take part in a variety of extra-curricular activities. Teachers make sure that pupils develop their knowledge and skills across the curriculum. Leaders and staff are attentive to pupils’ wellbeing. They ensure that all pupils can progress and enjoy the full range of activities the school offers.
It is fantastic to see our values of Ambition, Opportunity and Community reflected so well in what inspectors found. Of course, we are always seeking to get even better at Holly Lodge, and are continuing on our journey as a school to further improve the education and experiences we bring to our students, and the role we play in our wider community.
