Our Vision
At Holly Lodge we believe in ambition: for students’ achievements, conduct and future pathways. We believe in opportunity, in noticing what we are lucky to have and in seizing the chances we have in life. And we believe in community: in serving each other through respect, kindness and responsibility.
Why Behaviour is important
At Holly Lodge everyone has a right to learn and feel safe. We strive for every young person to be the best version of themselves and to reach that goal. It is integral that everyone is able to access learning in a safe, conducive environment. Therefore we have rules and a behaviour framework to ensure that this vision can be enacted. Assistance at home is an essential element in this vision and we thank parents and carers for supporting school with the framework.
Our 10 Rules
- We walk sensibly and purposefully on the left
- We have no unnecessary physical contact
- We arrive on time to lessons
- We listen to our teachers in silence and never interrupt or disrupt
- We enter and exit our classroom calmly and quietly and stand behind chairs until our teacher asks us to sit/exit
- We use “Sir”, “Miss” or “Mx” when we speak to staff members and visitors to the school
- We focus on our work and complete our work to the best of our ability
- We follow instructions from staff
- We come prepared with correct uniform and equipment
- We speak respectfully towards all other students and adults
ClassCharts
ClassCharts is a really important tool that all parents and carers should be checking regularly. The information can be used at home to support with home work and behaviour, and parents and carers are reminded to praise students when appropriate.
