The purpose of this statement is to set out how Holly Lodge High School is planning to utilise its 16 to 19 tuition fund allocation to support students who may have had their learning disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government introduced the 16 to 19 tuition funding for the 2020/2021 & 2021/2022 academic years only. It is ring fenced funding for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).
The guidance related to the fund means that:

The Fund is not limited to supporting GCSE Maths and English but can be for any aim in the learner’s programme of study.
In addition SEND students will be considered where they have experiences additional disruption to learning as a result of their specific needs and disabilities.
Support will be in the form of small group tuition over and above the teaching timetabled for that subject, deferred assessment preparation and subject specific knowledge and skills gap catch up sessions.
Tuition Groups will consist of no more than 5 students and the tuition will be scheduled in addition to the existing programmes of study already timetabled.
Tuition and additional support may be provided using remote delivery.
Tuition support will be allocated according to individuals based on assessment, clear starting points, learning aims, expectations and outcomes.
