• All teachers acknowledge all of the hard work you have and continue to put into your studies.

• At this moment in time we will not speculate on the plans that the Government may put in place for awarding Level 2/GCSE grades, but please do not worry.

• The Government have guaranteed that everyone will receive their qualifications and sixth forms, colleges and universities will support students to progress onto the next stage of their education.

• A number of things will be considered when awarding grades: mock examination performance, ongoing teacher assessments, coursework, externally examined unites, prior attainment, etc. Our staff have enough information to ensure you get a grade that fairly reflects your efforts and expected grades.

• Once social distancing measures ease, all Year 11 students will be given the opportunity to come into school to discuss the next steps in order to support them. Sixth Form telephone interviews have been happening now for over a week; most Sixth Form applicants have already had a discussion with Mrs K Dunn, Ms R Khera, Mr L Burke or Mrs M K Rai.

• Do not view this as the end of your time at Holly Lodge, we still expect to celebrate your success.

• Please let parents/carers know the above information to reassure them too as they will be worried.

• The school reassures you we are still here for you and will respond to any messages, queries or concerns.

• Please read the homepage of our school’s website for updated information and check your emails on a daily basis.
