Reflexions (Mental Health Support Team for schools)

• Purpose: Early-intervention service working in schools from Reception through to Year 13, supporting mild-to-moderate issues (e.g., low mood, anxiety).

Students can be referred via the school mental-health lead (please speak to the pastoral team)

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) – Sandwell & Black Country

• Purpose: Specialist service for children & young people (under 18) with more complex or severe mental health needs.

• Key contacts:

– Single Point of Access (SPA) for referrals & advice: 0121 612 6620

– Crisis Intervention & Home Treatment Team (for urgent mental-health situations): 07816 075218 (open 08:00-20:00 7 days)

Notes: If you are concerned about immediate risk or harm, call 999 (life-threatening) or 111 and select the mental health option.

Wysa (Well-being App – free access for young people in Sandwell/Black Country)

• What it is: A safe, anonymous well-being chat app with self-help tools for low mood, stress, anxiety etc. Available 24/7.

• How to access: Download from the App Store or Google Play. Use the QR code or ask the school well-being team for the unique code for Sandwell.

• Notes: Good for those times outside of school hours when you just need someone (or something) to listen, practice coping skills, or take a moment for yourself.
