Year 10 Business Studies 'Grand Achievers Award'
Students were required to set up their own business, called Grand Achievers as part of the programme.
This included thinking of a product, developing the idea and then eventually creating it. The selling of shares and fundraising in and out of school was done to raise capital for the business.
In March, the students took part in an organised Trade Fair at the Wulfrun Centre in Wolverhampton as the first part of the competition.
Students were required to sell their product, the Saints and Sinners cook book to the public and also be questioned by a panel of judges about their business so far. The next stage was the completion of a Company Report outlining the progress the business had made and all of their financial information. The last part of the competition involved being questioned by another panel of judges and presenting the business to a number of different business people.
